Conor Coughlan

Conor Coughlan

Conor Coughlan is a 21-year-old British singer-songwriter, Essex-born but with Canadian connections.

At the age of 9 Conor begged his father to him to teach guitar and after only a few months of playing, he was writing songs. In late 2008 the Coughlan family emigrated to Saskatoon, Canada. It was there Conor's musical journey would really begin. At the age of 14, Conor decided to start a band and began performing in the local bars in his city, eventually performing in prestigious venues on the west coast of the USA.

In 2014 Conor was in Los Angeles, and while there stumbled upon Fantasy Studios. Studio manager Jeffrey Wood, recognising Conor’s talent, offered to record and produce an album of Conor’s songs. So it was that by November 2014, at age 18, Conor recorded his debut album Give It Up. Some great musicians played on the album, including Dawn Richardson and Paul Olguin (regular players with Tracy Chapman), but it's the soul and passion of Conor's singular voice that shines through on this startling debut.

Conor then spent 2 years touring the UK, USA and Canada to promote Give It Up. Following this, and back in the States, he continued to tour, on the billing with artists such as Glen Matlock of the Sex Pistols, Zane Carney (John Mayer's guitarist) and Justin Furstenfeld of Blue October.

Conor returned to the UK in January 2017, where he has signed to Lisa Climie Management. He is currently working on a second album and is looking forward to playing at venues across the UK.
